It is nice to read a book that allows me to revisit ...

While there are strategies that I already use or have created on my own, this book is a welcome resource, because foreign language in the realm of education, tends to be overlooked and left on the back burner. It is nice to read a book that allows me to revisit strategies I may have forgotten, or let fall into disuse, due to the multitude of challenges that are faced in the classroom on a daily basis. Some of the information was refreshing, and there were also instances, in which I needed to reaffirm that much of what I am doing is effective, but in need of some minor adjustments here and there. I commend the authors for writing a book that offers strategies that can me immediately implemented in the classroom the very next day. Hopefully, this book will lead to other books being written to enhance the ways in which we teach foreign language in the United States!

Helpful charts at the end of the book

The best part of this book are the formative assessment charts at the end. I had to take them and tweak them a little, but they have helped guide my students in clear, purposeful speaking in the target language each and every day. Other than the charts, the rest of the book took about thirty minutes to read, because most of it is obvious or information that is easily accessible for free on the internet.
